Anniversary Blessings

Life can get hard.  Can I hear an amen?  We get busy.  We get sick.  We are mistreated.  Life can be tough on us.  And when these things happen, we are normally quick to sulk or let the world know that we are having a hard time.

But too often the only way we notice that life is hard for our mate is when they start complaining about it.  To read more, join me at Woman to Woman for Marriage Monday.

Yesterday, August 26th, my husband and I celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary and our 16th year together.  So today I want to count my blessings that are my husband.

528. Sixteen years with this wonderful man.
529. The ups and downs that have brought us to where we are.

530. His bright blue eyes -the first thing I ever noticed about him.

531. His handsome face.

523. His strong hands.

533. His willingness to work hard to support his family.

534. His physical ability to work to support his family.

535. His obsession passion for shoes.

536. The help he gives around the house even though he works very hard outside the home.

537. The way he worships openly.

538. The way he is always willing to help anyone and everyone no matter the cost.

539. The way he lets me lay my head on his shoulder even though it hurts his shoulder.

540. The way he comforts me when I am hurting even though he doesn't know the words to say.

541. The way he always lets our children sit on his lap, even though some of those times he would much rather relax alone.

542. How he cleans my car for me each Saturday.

543. The way he loves our nieces and nephews as his own.

544. His taste buds for ranch dressing -he eats it on everything. {smiles}

545. The way he suddenly declares it tickle time...just to see me smile.

546. The way he always tells the kids and I bye and kisses us when he leaves the house.

547. The way he always wants to surprise me on my birthday or a holiday but gets so excited that he shares it with me early.

548. That he can forgive me of my wrongdoings.

549. His support of this ministry and Woman to Woman.

550. The anticipation of spending the rest of my life with him.

My other wonderful blessings:

551. My incredible Papa who celebrated his birthday yesterday.

My Papa and I out on the lake when I was a little girl.
552. The excitement my Papa had when I called him fifteen years ago and asked if I could get married on his birthday.

553. My Papa's positive attitude even when he is hurting physically.

554. My Papa's laughter, it is contagious.

555. My Papa's prayers.

What are you praising God for today?

Sweet Blessings~

  1. #535 made me laugh! Men aren't supposed to be passionate about shoes. ;) Just kidding. Happy Anniversary!

  2. Happy Anniversary! Reading each of these 'blessings' made me smile...and cry...or both. Jeremy is an amazing addition to our family. I couldn't imagine our lives without him.

I love #547...he tries to hard to surprise you and he usually does very well except he does so well that he always lets the cat out of the bag early!

One think I love about him is how he loves you and my grandkids.

    I hope your anniversary was wonderful...and I suspect it was because you are at the beach! {smiles}
