If You Can Use Anything Lord Can You Use Me?

This week I am taking a blogging break to spend time
with my family.  Over the next few days I will be reposting some of the early blog posts from Sweet Blessings.  Have a great week friends!

If You Can Use Anything Lord Can You Use Me?

Am I good enough for God to use me?  Young enough?  Old enough?  Smart enough?  Brave enough?  Spiritual eough?  The lists go on and on.  So many of us wonder if we are enough for God to use.  Look at the people God used in the Bible.  Not one of them were perfect.  Abraham was an older man.  Moses had a stuttering problem.  Joseph was abused by his brothers.  Rehab was a prositute.  Naomi a widow.  And Thomas doubted.  There are so many more examples of men and women that God used who were not perfect by any means.  All God wants is a willing heart.  That is all it takes.

There is a beautiful song that says, "If You can use anything Lord, You can use me.  If You can use anything Lord, You can use me.  Take my hands, Lord, and my feet.  Touch my heart, Lord, speak through me.  If You can use anything Lord, You can use me."  I love that song.  It is such a sweet reminder that God can use us if we are only willing.

My prayer is that I can put aside all of the worry and doubt and just be a willing vessel for God to use how He sees fit.  Father, use me.  Anyway, anywhere and anytime.  Just use me.  Amen.

Sweet Blessings~

  1. Hello my dear Jenifer,
I also love that song, it's one I have sung many, many times. And your thoughts are ones I have also had so many times. Interestingly enough, just recently I have really gone through a time of wondering if it's too late to be used in a significant way. After all, I'm not terribly outgoing and I'm almost 55. But, I know in my heart it's not too late, I just don't feel so very useful is what it is, I think.
