It's Getting Political Up In Here

I am not a very political person and I do not like arguing debates.  Therefore, I stay away from political arguments discussions on social media.  However, I saw this post on a friends status Sunday that is so beautiful and my thoughts exactly.  I will say that I do not agree with either presidential candidate's religious views.  But we have a wonderful help with choosing a candidate.  The Bible.

On November 6 we as Americans have the privilege and responsibility to vote! Many people around the world wished they had the right to vote... let us not take this privilege for granted!

When I vote I will have a pretty simple standard... I am going to vote as close to God's Word as I possibly can!

I will vote for the most Pro-Israel candidate because in Genesis 12:3 God says that He will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel. We need the blessing of God on our nation in these critical days we're living in.

I will vote for the most Pro-Life candidate because God says in Jeremiah 1:5 that before we were formed in the womb that God knew us. God treasures life and He hates the shedding of innocent blood according to Proverbs 6:17.

And I will vote for the candidate who most strongly supports traditional marriage. According to God's Word - God made a man and a woman to be together, He says that the man who finds a wife finds a good thing, that husbands and wives should honor each other as joint heirs, and numerous other places where He makes clear His plan for marriage.

We all must vote with prayer and wisdom and the Word of God!! Vote your conscience - and I will do the same!!

So my friends, on this election day, I encourage you to spend some time in prayer and in the Word before you vote.  Do not merely vote on the color of someone's skin, who your best friend is voting for, or without spending time in prayer.  We are blessed to have this opportunity to vote and we should not take it lightly.

Sweet Blessings~

  1. Love the way this was put. We really need to think about what we are doing. We are responsible for the way we do things here on earth and wheather a person wants to believe it or not we will be held acountable for who we vote for, we should always vote in things that reflect God and His ways. God is for life and marriage which is one man and one woman. It is not just about us but God. Thank you for an awesome post.

Blessings to you and love you.
