Bittersweet

I am not good with change. Changing furniture around, changing the wallpaper on my cellphone, changing the decorative dishtowel hanging in my kitchen, those are okay. Bigger changes like my daughter talking about college, not so much.

Change is bittersweet for me. But the Bible tells us there is a time for everything.

In every time, in every season, we can find good. We can praise Him.

Shauna Niequist shares in her new book, Bittersweet, says:
Bittersweet is the idea that in all things there is both something broken and something beautiful, that there is a sliver of lightness on even the darkest of nights, a shadow of hope in every heartbreak, and that rejoicing is no less rich even when it contains a splinter of sadness.
Your heart may ache with the season of change or trial you are facing, but you can rejoice all the same.

Bittersweet is an incredible book where Shauna shows that we need both the bitter and the sweet moments in life, and that we can find reason to rejoice and praise in both. I love Shauna's heart as she share's hope through her experiences. Check out Bittersweet!
