A HEART THAT RECEIVES {ILLUSTRATED FAITH}

God created you on purpose for a purpose. No one, not a single person on this earth, was created by accident or for no reason at all. God has a purpose. He has a plan and a path that is just for you. No one else can walk the path He has for you, and you cannot walk anyone else's path.

I love these truths. I love knowing that God created me on purpose and for a purpose. And I love knowing that He has something for me. The trick comes with actually receiving what He has. You see, if your husband walks in the door with a dozen red roses and box of chocolates, are you going to tell him, "No thanks"? Of course not! It's a beautiful gift that is intended for you. You'd be foolish to not accept it. The same is with God. He has something for each of us, but we have to learn to accept His gift.

Sometimes accepting His gift and His plan means we need to do something, like move our feet or step out in faith or trust in Him. Often we ask God to direct our steps, yet we don't want to move our feet in order to have our steps directed. And often we ask God to bless us, yet our hands are clinched into fists not ready to accept His blessing.

Friends, it's time we believe that God has a plan and purpose and it's time we open our hearts and hands to what that plan and purpose is. We can't receive His gifts until we receive His plan and purpose.

The brand new Illustrated Faith kit by Dayspring is all about having a heart that receives. I know I say I love each kit that comes my way, but I just have to say, this kit is probably my favorite. The pink and purple on this kit is so pretty and the design reminds me of springtime. The verse on the bag is one of my favorite verses and from one of my favorite Bible stores, "You were born for such a time as this." (Esther 4:14) I am in love with everything about this kit!

The Heart that Receives kit includes:
1 plastic pouch
1 devotional booklet
1 clear stamp collection
1 roll of washi tape
1 sheet of cut-out paper pieces
2 cardstock sticker sheets
3 tip-ins
1 magnet
1 thank you card from Shanna

I love the stamps in the kit. There are flowers, borders, a large arrow and words like wait on Him, strong and courageous, and more. The washi is such a pretty color of blue with pink flowers and the words strong and courageous.

The cardstock stickers are also really cute. They colors are very pretty and there are stickers that say receive, yes Lord and more. There are also alphabet stickers. Then we have the cut outs which are the same springtime colors with words like breath deep, hope and more.

Last we have the tip ins. These are very pretty with verses that make it great for Scripture memory. Tip ins can be used with glue or tape to add a pop to the margin of your Bible, but they also make great book markers.

The author of this month's devotional is Kim Marquette. Kim writes devotions of people in the Bible who had to learn to receive the gifts and plans from God. Stories like Noah, Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, Esther, David, Job, Daniel, Nehemiah, Mary, John, Peter, and Jesus. Each page has Scripture verses to read, a devotion from Kim and questions to help you dig deeper. There is also space to utilize your Bible journaling supplies.

This kit is stunning and I am having so much fun with it. To pick up your Heart That Receives kit, click on the image below:
