Carrying out DIY on the house through the year can be a satisfying thing. As we live in our home it is important for us to improve it and maintain it, and there are certain jobs we can do around the home that are just incredibly satisfying.

Today we are going to talk about some of the most satisfying jobs you can do around your home this week that will make you feel happy and make your home look tidy and clean.

Mow the lawns

The first satisfying job you should do this week is to mow your lawns and get them looking tidy. After a winter of leaving your grass to grow, it will start looking a bit wild and it is important for you to keep it short so that your garden looks tidy. This week, make sure to mow your front and back lawns as short as you can and when you are done you’ll be able to revel in the trimmed look of your outdoor space.

Pressure wash your house

You’ve heard of pressure washing your car, and your driveway to get rid of dirt - but did you know that you can also pressure wash your house exterior? You can hire pressure washing experts to come and wash the outside of your home or do it yourself and once it is done your home will look incredible.

Streak free window cleaning

There is nothing more annoying than trying to clean your windows and ending up with huge streaks of cleaner all over by the time you are done. Cleaning your windows can be a satisfying job if done right and today we want to share some tips on how to avoid those annoying streaks.

First of all make sure to wash your window in 2 stages. The first stage will be with a soapy sponge to get rid of all of the lingering dirt and smears. The second stage should be with a window cleaning spray and a squeegee to make your windows shine. When using a squeegee on your window, make sure to go from the left or right and make an arch as you go down to the bottom of the window. Do the same the other way and keep repeating this motion rather than straight lines that can easily cause streaks. It might take a little practice but once you are in the motion of this you will never wash your windows any other way.

Refresh your kitchen cupboards

One of the important things you will want to do in your kitchen this week is refresh your kitchen cupboards and change their colour. If you have wooden doors - simply add a coat of gloss paint to the cupboards to brighten them up. If they are plastic, you can buy vinyl decals online that you can apply in much the same way as a phone screen protector. This will be ultra satisfying to do and it won’t take you more than an hour!
