HOPE FOR EACH DAY {GIVEAWAY}

Kids develop habits in their young life that they carry with them into their teenage and adults years. We teach them to begin a habit of brushing their teeth twice a day, of showering regularly, of eating healthy food, of making their bed and so on. The best, most life impacting habit we can teach them is to read the Bible each day.

The Bible is meant to be our daily bread. It is meant to be opened, read and studied every day. Not just Sundays, not just special occasions, not just in difficult times and not just in adulthood. The Word is for every person of every age for every day.

Billy Graham says,
Every day I turn to the Bible to give me strength and wisdom for the day and hope for the future.
Billy Graham has a new children's devotional to help kids gain this love of reading the Word daily. Hope for Each Day - 365 Devotions for Kids goes along side the adult version, Hope for Each Day. This makes it easy for families to read and do devotions together.

Hope for Each Day - 365 Devotions for Kids is easy to read if your child is a reader. This devo is great for kids to do on their own or for families to do together. Each day has the date to help keep them on track, there is a Scripture for the day then a short devotion.

To enter to win a copy of Hope for Each Day - 365 Devotions for Kids, complete each task in the rafflecopter below.

Word Filled Wednesday

Have you heard the news?  Head over to Woman to Woman for a big announcement!

Do you not know?  Have you not heard?  The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.  He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom.  He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.  Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.  Isaiah 40:28-31

No Disappointment There

We have all experienced disappointment.  Disappointment in our child's behavior, in not getting the raise we wanted, in something not going as we had wanted it to.  We have all had some level of disappointment.

When we place our hope in our circumstances, in material things or in human, we will face disappointment.  There is no way around it.  Even 'sure things' will let us down.  Even our spouse will let us down.

Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.  Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.  We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.  And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because He has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love.  Romans 5:1-5 NLT (emphasis mine)

When we place our hope in God, we will never be lead to disappointment.  God created us and loves us with a love we will never be able to fathom.  He always has our best interest at heart and always does good for us.

He gives us hope when there seems to be no hope.  He gives us a hope that more dependable than a 'sure thing.'  He gives us hope of a future.  Hope of no more tears.  Hope of life.

Where is your hope placed today?

Sweet Blessings~

Faithful in Prayer

Join me at Woman to Woman Ministries for a dangerous dare!

This short and to the point verse hold much power.

Be joyful in hope.  When we live for Christ, we have a joy and a hope that the world or another human cannot offer us.  The joy and hope of Christ are eternal, not temporal.

Be patient in affliction.  Trials will pass.  We are made stronger in affliction.  And we have peace in knowing God is there throughout the difficulties.

Be faithful in prayer.  The Lord desires to converse with us each and every day.  He delights in time spent with us through prayer and worship.
