Something to Think About...

Yesterday in service, my Pastor made this comment, "Salvation will get you into Heaven.  But what will you do between now and then?"  Definitely something to think about!  We can ask Christ into our hearts.  Ask Him to be the Lord of our lives.  But what are we going to do then?

You can ask Christ to come into your heart and then come to church every Sunday, sit in the service, stand during worship, maybe raise your hand.  You can sit quietly during the sermon, nod in the appropriate places and shake a few hands on your way out the door.  Then come back next Sunday and do it all again.  But is that all?  Is that all there is to Christianity?  Or better yet, is that all we want?

Personally, I want more!  I don't want to just be a church-goer.  I want, I desire, I crave a personal, intimate relationship with Christ.  I want to live for Him daily.  Not just at church, Bible study or church functions, but daily.  I want to talk to Him and listen to Him daily.  I want to worship Him daily.  I want to feel His presence with me everywhere I go and in everything I do.  When He asks something of me, I want to say yes God!  There is more to this "walk with God" than asking Him into our hearts and attending church.  It is an actual relationship.  I am ready to step out and have a deep and personal relationship with my Savior.

So, what do you want?  Are you satisfied with just being saved or do you want more?

  1. I want more and the more I get the more I want.

  2. I want more and God is so faithful to give us more when we ask for it. He desires that type of relationship with us too.

  3. I want my cup to be full...pressed down, shaken together and running over...full of all that God wants to give me. I don't want to just 'go' to church every week and follow the motions. No, I won't 'do' Christianity! I desire to be the servant of Christ that God wants me to be!
