Missionary Work

Go to Woman to Woman for Marriage Monday.  We are talking about the hidden dangers in marriage.

"He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation."

Did you know that you are a missionary?  Yes you are and I am, too.  Right now God has called me to be the missionary to four amazing kids.  I am a missionary at home.

Being a missionary to my children means it is my job to teach them about Christ.  I am also to show them Christ by my actions, my attitude and my character.  Each day is a new opportunity to teach my children about Christ.

God called us to be missionaries and spread the Gospel to all nations, to the world.  That includes our neighbors, coworkers, friends, even our children.  We are to reach our world for Christ.

So who are you a missionary to right now?  What are you doing to show them Christ and reach them for the Kingdom?  Do your actions show that of Christ?  I encourage you to step out and reach those around you.  Witness through your words, actions and character.  Let's be the missionaries we are called to be.

Sweet Blessings~

  6. Hi Jenifer,
As I was shopping today I purposefully greeted each person I dealt with, with a smile and a kind word. I was thinking about that very verse, the people I meet each day are my world and I need to be amongst the nicest people they meet the whole long day.

  7. So true...I am a missionary in my workplace, to my kids, the kids at church, the women at bible study, the ball field, pediatric therapy...I could go on and on...

  8. What a great way to put it Jenifer! One of our most important responsibilities is to bring God's Message to others, and show His Light in our everyday lives.

Thank you for the wonderful reminder!

    Have a Blessed Day!

  9. I have always said that my first ministry is to this husband and these kids that God has blessed me with. Everything I do outside this home has to be evaluated in how it will affect that first ministry. It helps me gage what I can and cannot do. Blessings!
