Craving and Reshaping

New Year's Goals.  Did you set any this year?  Goals to get healthy?  Goals to lose weight?  We are five months into the year now.  How have you done?  Was it too hard or too much and you gave up?  Or are you well on your way to meeting your goals?

At the beginning of the year I talked about a wonderful study I was doing with my Bible study girls and in my personal Bible study.  Made to Crave.  We are at the end of the book with only two chapters/weeks left.  It has been a great journey.  Through Made to Crave, God revealed to me that I was craving and turning to pepsi far more than I was craving and turning to God.  It has been four and a half months that I have gone without a pepsi and I do not miss it.  I have learned to turn to God and it is wonderful!  God fulfills me far more than the pepsi ever did.  Author Lysa TerKeurst says, "We were made to crave God not food."  Love that quote.  If you have not yet had a chance to read Made to Crave, give it a try!

Yesterday I started a new book in my personal Bible study that I am super excited about, Reshaping It All with Candance Cameron Bure and Darlene Schacht.  Candance gives motivation for spiritual and physical fitness.  She says, "I knew who God was, but I still hadn't grasped who I was in His sight."

If you want to lose weight, get healthy or work on your spiritual health, check out Made to Crave and Reshaping It All!  You will be blessed!

Sweet Blessings~

  1. I haven't read Made to Crave yet but I hear it's wonderful. Anything written by Lysa is awesome! How wonderful God showed you how he sees you. What a great thing to take away from the study...crave God not Pepsi. Although Pepsi is good, God is better!:) Hugs!!

  3. When you crave God, what else is there? There have been times that I thought I had all of God that I needed but not so, I crave Him more and more. Thanks for a great post and blessings to you.

  7. I love what Candace said. I'm discovering not only more about God, but about how He sees me; who He says I am.

  9. Loved your thoughts on craving. I too want to crave God more than food. I did give up Dr.Pepper; but I am still struggling with Chocolate. I just hope we can have chocolate in Heaven.
I will check into the program mentioned.
    Blessings to you!
