Happy Mother's Day

"Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised."  Proverbs 31:30

The Proverbs 31 woman often intimidates us.  How can we possibly live up to her?  Why would God put her in the Bible, just to torment us?  I hear so many women who dislike her.  I often times have avoided reading about her.  But the truth is God would not have put her in the Bible if it were impossible to be like her.  I believe the very first step in becoming like our dear sister, the Proverbs 31 woman, is to fear the Lord.  If we fear the Lord, have a healthy respect for Him, we will desire to live as He wants us to live.  We will understand His reason for putting her in the Word.  In the coming weeks I am going to dive in to the Proverbs 31 woman.  Be sure to join us.

My mom, Debi
Do you know a woman who fears the Lord?  Was your mother a Godly example in your life?  Maybe a grandmother, aunt, neighbor or pastor's wife.  I am very blessed.  My mother is a Proverbs 31 woman.  She loves the Lord with all her heart.  She raised me and my three siblings in the Lord and she helps us raise our children in the Lord.  She prays for our families.  She is there for us when we need her and encourages us.  Mom, I love you and appreciate you.  Happy Mother's Day Mom!

I want to wish each lady a very Happy Mother's Day!  May your weekend be relaxing and blessed beyond measure.

Sweet Blessings~

  1. Jenifer, your Mom is a godly woman and I am so glad God chose her to be our daughter. She is so many things and does so much, I don't know how she manages her time. I see how she has raised you and your siblings and it is amazing. She loves the Lord so much and tries never to do anything that would bring dishonor to Him. You have a lovely post. Blessings.

  2. You made me cry! I am the one who is blessed...I have 3 amazing daughters and an amazing son. I have a beautiful daughter-in-law and 2 wonderful sons-in-law. Ooohhh...I hate the 'in-law' term. I consider my 'in-laws' to be my kids, too! I pray that I have been a positive influence on all of my children and their children.

I have a wonderful mama...I am so proud of her. I am so thankful for the way that she and Daddy raised me. I have morals and ethics...all because of them. Prayerfully, I have passed those on to my children.

Thank you for this beautiful post, Jenifer. I love you so much. You are definitely a Proverbs 31 woman!!!

    Happy Mother's Day, Sissy!
