Are you or your children dealing with a case of the "I can'ts"?  Years ago we taught our daughter how to deal with this disease.  Then one day, God taught me.  Today I am so excited to be guest posting with my sweet bloggy friend, Lindsay, over at The Evatt's Beautiful Mess, join me as we discuss dealing with the "I can'ts."

Below is a picture.  This picture has been making its way around Facebook for a few days now.  The little thumbnail of the picture was kind of hard to see in detail so I didn't pay attention to it.  Then something made me stop and look at it closely.  (I have it enlarged here so you can really see what it says.)

Friends, you hear me say it all the time.  Our words have impact.  Our words can bring life or choke someone to death.  What are your words doing?

Sweet Blessings~

  6. Wow -- this picture evoked a knot in my stomach. It is so easy for unhelpful and mean words to cross our lips. May we all be so filled with the Holy Spirit that it would be easy to give thanks and praise and words of wisdom and encouragement.

  7. If my comment gets duplicated, I apologize... My connection went out.

I've seen this bouncing around Facebook as well Jenifer, but like you hadn't looked at it closely. Wow... In this case, a picture really does speak a thousand words... And we need to be careful with those we choose to use.

    Thank you for sharing this!

    Have a Blessed Day!

  8. This picture is powerful. I know about the impact of words on your soul. I lived with a father who verbally abused me to the day he died. Thanks for this reminder and I think it is a lessone we all need reminding of frequently.
