Word Filled Wednesday

"For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God
for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."
2 Corinthians 10:4-5

As you start this new year and have resolutions, goals, or one word to focus on, satan will try to fight you.  He will whisper to you that you are not doing it good enough or that you can't live without what you are trying to quit or that you don't have time to read the Word.  He will fight you, he will tempt you.  The Word tells us to take every thought captive. When satan whispers to you, start praying and praising the name of Jesus.  In God, you are powerful and you can stick to your goals.  You are mighty in God!

Sweet Blessings~

  1. It is such a comfort to know that our God is mightier than our enemy! Though the enemy tries to fool us with his lies, God speaks truth and He is the voice I'm listening to!

  4. Hi Jenifer,
I love where you said "When satan whispers to you, start praying and praising the name of Jesus." That right there is our greatest weapon. satan is a coward, he cannot fight the Name of Jesus!!!

  5. Your post reminded me of a verse I held on to last year..."The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run to it and are safe." (Proverbs 18:10) Imagine that...His name is a place of safety!

  6. We don't have to battle in our own strength; we put on the whole armor of God and strong. If God is for us, who can be against us? :)
