Are You Hurting

Be sure to check out yesterday's post for the Spring Blessing Blowout!  One blessed reader will receive $360 in PayPal cash.  What a blessing!!

This week, every where I have turned I have seen hurting people.  I get emails of friends saying how they are feeling down and depressed.  Look on Facebook for five minutes and see a dozen friends talking about how bad things are and how much they are hurting.  Drive down the street and see other drivers looking sad and lonely.

People are hurting right now.

Are you one of them?

Do you feel like you are separated from God right now?

Do you feel as though your prayers are hitting the ceiling?

Do you feel alone?

Oh friend, my heart breaks for you.  I wish I could give you a hug then grab your hands and pray with you.

When you get to this place of hurting, depression, desperation, loneliness, cry out to Jesus.  Don't give up, press on!  Don't stop praying, pray more!  Don't stop worshiping, worship more!

Here is the advice I gave a dear friend this week: Take a walk, alone, in the middle of the day, soak up the sunshine and let the Son speak to you through His creation.  When the kids are down for a nap or in bed for the night, turn the lights low, turn on praise or instrumental music very low and just cry out to Jesus.  Tell Him how you feel, He already knows.  He is just waiting on you to cry out to Him.  Let Him wrap His arms around you.

When you are feeling this way, don't skip out on your quiet time with God!  No!  Read your Bible, read more then you normally do.  Pray, pray longer than you normally do.  Press in!  Melt into His sweet embrace.  He loves you and He has never left you.

  1. This is wonderful advice! Have you heard Christa Well's song, My Best Remedy? Your post makes me think of that! I love the medicine God gives us in the sunshine!

  2. When we are hurting in whatever this is the time we need to seek the Lord and to praise Him. It may seem hard to do but once we get started we can just feel the presence of the Lord, yes, He is right there at our side helping us through all of our difficulties. Love your post, it is excellent advice.

Blessings to you and thank you.

  4. Wise advice, Jenifer. When we feel farthest from God that is when we need Him the most.

    Blessings,
