It Feels So Good!

Sunday my pastor asked this question:

What happens when you are in the presence of the Lord?

We know that we connect with God.  We know that it feels really good.  But is that all?

Do we walk away changed?

Do we walk away ready to make changes necessary to have a deeper relationship with God?

Do we walk away ready to serve Him more intimately?

Or do we only go into His presence to feel good?

Just something to think about today.

Sweet Blessings~

  1. Great post! Sometimes we wonder what God can do for us and not what we can do for Him.

We just want a good, peaceful feeling and not want to change to get it.

OR we are in church feeling 'good' (as you say) then we walk out and the world hits us like a sledge hammer. Sunday, my husband and I both and a blessed day at church, then we went out to eat with the girls and we had an arguement. It lasted most of the day. We ended up making up, but we lost that 'good' feeling.

Your post is very timely. Thanks (and thanks to your preacher....)

  2. I think if we only come to Him to feel good then we are missing out on so much more of what He has in store for us!

  3. Exactly Eileen. IF that is all we get, then we are really missing out!

  4. I know I'm there because I want to be transformed. The more transforming that's going on the closer to Him I am to Him anyway... feeling good for me is the by-product of hearing Him and obeying anyway :) Great thoughts, thanks Jenifer!
