This morning in my quiet time God revealed something to me.  It hurt.  It made me cringe and it made me sad.

God showed me that I haven't been as passionate as I should be.  That I have been rushing through my quiet time, not going as deep as I should.  I have been 'sleepy' in my quiet time.

God doesn't want that.  He wants me to be passionate, on fire for Him.  He wants my time, my heart, my everything.  And I haven't been giving that to Him this past few weeks.

Time for a change.

Time to be renewed.

Time for a refreshing.

No more sleeping in when I know I should be spending time with my Best Friend.  No more rushing through our time when I should just "be" with Him.

My heart cries out, Father awaken my soul, fall afresh on me and fill me up with You.

Are you ready to go to the next level?  Are you ready for God to awaken your soul?  Are you ready to be on fire for Him?  Stop rushing through your time with Him.  Stop skipping your time with Him.  Read His Word, pray, worship Him, and just be with Him.  God loves you and wants to be with you.

Sweet Blessings~

  1. Ouch... I feel it too. Thanks for this encouragement, it's just what I needed to hear from Him :)

  2. I second that Ouch...I'm guilty. But, I've realized the times that I do slow down to listen, I gain so much from Him! Great song, too. Thanks for linking up today, Jenifer :)

  3. This post resonates with me. Love that Jeremy Riddle song as well!

  4. Yep, me too, double ouch. Thanks for the reminder
    God bless

  5. Thank you for this reminder. I really needed to hear this. No more sleeping in for me either, He's more important.

  6. Looks like many of us feel this way, me included. I was able to arrange my schedule to take Monday totally "off" and just rested in the Lord's love. It was so refreshing to not rush from one task to the next.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to sustain that "don't hurry" attitude since then. :-( Still seeking to find my balance in Jesus...even when life is hectic, he is my rest.

Thank you for stopping by and leaving your thoughts, I love hearing from you.
