Christmas is my favorite holiday. I love everything about it. One of my favorite things to do in the month of December is to bake cookies, make hot chocolate and snuggle by the fire watching Christmas movies as we eat and drink our cookies and cocoa.
While I love Christmas, each year I struggle with the commercialism. I want the season to be completely centered around the true reason for the day, our Savior. Decorations, trees, lights, everything about Christmas excites me, yet it also makes me wonder if I am somehow taking the focus off Jesus.
Kirk Cameron's new movie, Saving Christmas, is exactly what I needed to see. Kirk gives great insight to the different traditions of Christmas and how we can point them to Jesus. Every where we look, Christ is there. It's a matter of being aware and looking for Him.
