Health Appointments You Need To Schedule Today

Contributed post

At the start of the year, you vow to be a new you, a healthier you. However, have you considered that you need to do more than just up your workouts and change your eating? You have a whole body to look after, it’s not just the number on the scales or the dinner on your plate. You have a body to look after in 2020, and there are healthy appointments that you need to schedule today that will change the way you live.
A yearly MOT is so important for you to be able to live well. Let’s take a look at a range of healthy appointments that you need to schedule today so that you can make sure that living well is at the top of your priority list.

Three Women's Doing Exercises
  1. 1. A dental check is one of the most important health appointments that you will need to book this year. You want to go every six months at the very least to ensure your teeth and gums are in excellent shape. Protecting your teeth is important so that you can live a long life with your own teeth in your head.
  2. 2. Your skin is the next thing to consider. Your dermatology appointment is the next one you need to book. Dry skin can be raw and painful, and if you are dealing with scaly, flaky or dried out skin, then you need to see someone who can fix it for you. Freckles and moles that pop up or start to change also need looking at, and you should have your dermatologist continue to look at moles for any subtle changes that you may not recognize.
  3. 3. Speak to an audiologist about your ears. Listen Lively is a good place to book in with to get your hearing looked into. Life is loud and busy and you need to get yours checked. Mostly, we get our hearing checked in infancy and our elderly years, but that doesn't mean that you can’t get it checked in the meantime.
  4. 4. Book a smear test - or if you’re a guy, get your prostate checked. Your smear test could pick up the early changes that mean cervical cancer. Don’t skimp on these appointments. They could save your life! It’s three minutes of embarrassment for a potentially life-saving treatment.
  5. 5. Have you ever been to a therapist? It’s just a chat, but it’s a chat that could help you to unlock your stress. We live in a time where mental health is in the spotlight, but if you’re not taking care of yours, there’s no point! So, let’s get you booked in with a therapist today and you can have that long-awaited chat! There will be a mental health checkup that will matter to you and it will be something to help you with your mood, anxiety and how you overcome any barriers in your life. Don't struggle with low mood and upset if you don't have to!
Look after your health with these appointments and your 2020 will turn out to be the healthiest one yet.
