Fatherhood is important. Fatherhood matters. Some of us have really good fathers, yet, unfortunately some of us have fathers that are either absent or he was there physically but not emotionally.
Our earthly father, or lack of, is our first experience with a man who is supposed to be a safe, loving, and a kind teacher. Someone we can turn to and trust. Someone who shapes our entire lives, whether for the positive or negative. 80% of what women believe about themselves comes from their fathers.
Whether you had a good father or absent father, our souls yearn for our Heavenly Father. A Heavenly Father changes everything.
In the new documentary, He Calls Me Daughter, we are invited into the pain and joy with women as they vulnerably share their stories of lives with their earthly fathers and how it shaped their lives, as well as they share the healing that came with finding their Heavenly Father. True healing isn’t found in earthly relationships, but a relationship with our heavenly Father.
