Motherhood is equal parts wonderful and hard. So often we lie in bed at night thinking over our day criticizing ourselves. I should have taken them to the park today. I shouldn't have gotten so upset over the spilled juice. I haven't given them so many snacks. I should have gotten more housework done. I should have listened to her story of school better. I'll do better tomorrow. Then tomorrow brings much of the same and our mom guilt grows.
Friend, you are not alone. Since the beginning of time moms everywhere have fought and strived to be the best mothers they can be...even in the Bible. In her new book Moms of the Bible, Rhonda Stoppe shares life changing lessons from moms in the Bible who were fearless, flawed, and faithful.
Rhonda takes us through twelve different women in the Bible. Women like Rehab, Mary, Lot's wife, Rebekah, Hannah, and others. She takes through the lives of these twelve women, showing us the struggles and successes of these real life moms, weaving her own stories throughout.
Rhonda says, "Her [Eve] sinful choice, which Adam took part in, was the catalyst for everything wrong in this world. I hope her story reminds you of how vulnerable all of us are to satan's schemes, including you. To deceive you, his promises to give you your best life now will be twisted with Scripture." She goes on to say, "When your kids notice how important knowing God has become to you, they'll be inspired to know Him too -which will help protect them from believing satan's lies."
Each chapter ends with life lesson questions and a qr code for videos from Rhonda. I truly loved Moms of the Bible. I love how Rhonda teaches lessons from each of these moms, shares her own stories, and leads us to the Bible. For more on Moms of the Bible, click HERE. To enter to win a copy, click HERE.
