IT'S POWERSHEETS LAUNCH DAY!

I have been a fan of Cultivate What Matters for years. I found this company eight years ago (I believe it was) and immediately felt a connection. The ladies of Cultivate were so bright and energetic that it was impossible to not love them. When I decided to give their biggest product, the Powersheets Goal Planner, a try, I was amazed.

Powersheets have been a huge part of my life ever since. This goal planner is so much more than just another planner. It's like having a life coach in your pocket. Powersheets help you find out who you are and what matters the most to you. Then, through action steps, it helps you create a plan that works best for you in your season of life. Next, it helps you celebrate little by little progress.

Powersheets have been instrumental to me in writing all four of my devotionals and in my every day life with daily habits I want to create. I am absolutely a Powersheets user for life!

Then a couple of years ago, this favorite company of mine created the Seasons by Seasons Planner. They had another homerun with this product. This is by far the best planner I've ever used, and I've used a lot. They offer a daily edition and a weekly addition, both spiral bound. I love how both editions have the hourly blocks of time, making it perfect for scheduling day to day life.

In addition to the Powersheets Goal Planner and Seasons by Seasons Daily/Weekly Planner, they offer so many great accessories to make planning easy and fun. I love the tending tape (washi), the beautiful stickers, and all the pouches!

The pencil pouch and accessory pouch even have a strap on the back to attach to your Powersheets or Seasons by Seasons. And this year, there are not one, not two, but seven different sticker books to help you add pops to your planners.

This year they have five Powersheets covers and two Seasons by Seasons covers, and I have to tell you, out of all the years I've been using these products, this year was the hardest to choose a cover. I normally know immediately which cover I want and this year I went back and fourth between two Powersheets covers and both Seasons by Seasons. They are all just so beautiful!

The new 2025 collection launches TODAY at 10:00am EST. You can get all the tools you need to make 2025 organized, productive, and amazing! To shop this beautiful new collection, click HERE. And be sure to use code JENIFERMETZGER for 10% off your order.

Powersheets have been a huge help to me the past five or so years. This beautiful goal planner has helped me with big picture goals and every day habits.

January didn't go quite as planned. My husband and I spent half the month very sick. So I didn't get my steps in every day nor did I get to go on walks. One of my monthly action items was to read two books for fun, not for the purpose of reviews. I didn't get to that either. As for the rest of my action items, I made great progress! I am pleased with January and ready to tackle February!

My February action items are:

WRITE THE WORD

Studies show that when you write something in your own handwriting your brain is able to process the information better and you increase the chances of the information being stored for later. So applying this train of thought to the Bible, when we write out Scripture in our own handwriting, we are helping our brain to process and store what we read and write.

Write the Word #cultivatewhatmatters #writetheword #writethewordjournal #Bible

Cultivate What Matters helps us use this theory to write out Scripture with their beautiful Write the Word journals. I've personally been using Write the Word journals for several years now and absolutely love them! The journals make a beautiful addition to my morning quiet time. They also make a wonderful tool to throw in your purse and work through on your lunch break, while waiting at the doctor's office, or while sitting at the park with your kids.

Write the Word #cultivatewhatmatters #writetheword #writethewordjournal #Bible

Write the Word journals are hard bound with vegan leather covering, a ribbon bookmark, beautiful gold foil detail, 70 preselected Scripture based on the journal theme, 4 Scripture art pages with journal prompts, and undated so you can start whenever. Each journal page has a place to write the date, a place to record something you are thankful for, a Scripture reference and space to write the Scripture out, a place to journal thoughts or a prayer, and a space to write out a word or thought to focus on for the day.

AUGUST POWERSHEETS

I haven't done a Powersheets update in a couple of months so I thought it was time! The Powersheets Goal Planner is what I use to help keep me on track with the things I want to accomplish. Having my Powersheets is like having a goal coach or life coach walk beside me, encouraging me and cheering me on.

Before I share my August goals, let's check out July! July was a wonderful month. I made some great progress in some areas and was able to see where I was lacking to try and kick myself into gear.

Working through August Powersheets Goal Planner! #Powersheets #Goals #Goalplanning #CultivateWhatMatters

July goals:

♦ Faith: Growing in my faith and walk with God is always my number one goal. Each day I had my morning quiet time which included reading my Bible, doing my Write the Word journal, and praying. However, I have not done my nighttime devotional in quite awhile and need to get back to that. At the beginning of the year I purchased the Search the Word Collection from The Daily Grace Co. This is an in depth study on the Bible. I have looked through the study, however I still have started it yet.
♦ Marriage: Marriage is also an important goal that I always work on. My husband and I had a wonderful month! Each weekend we went camping at the lake. We absolutely love that time away just the two of us. We also have been going out to dinner one night a week just the two of us. This mid-week date is so fun! We married very young and had kids right away, so it honestly feels like we are dating again! One of my weekly action steps is to ask my husband what I can do to serve him. He almost always says nothing, but I want to be available to him if he ever needs me to run an errand, do something at the house, or even pray for him.
♦ Family: We had some fun family time in July! We celebrated Independence Day at the lake with our kids and some friends. We also planned a special Sunday outing where we road the downtown streetcar, went to the river market, and had lunch. I love getting together with my kids! I have had a monthly action item on my Powersheets almost all year that I still have not completed: family photo book. I still need to do our 2019 and 2020 books and start on our 2021 book. Mercy it is so much work but I love having it done and really need to get on it.
♦ Home: In July my husband and I had a day where we worked on the yard and outside of the house for an entire day. It was hard work but very much needed and worth it. I have been wanting to paint the living room and dining room all year and we just haven't gotten to it. I am just going to put it off for now and plan to accomplish that this winter.
♦ Ministry: I have been working on a project (I cannot wait to share with you!) and had a lot of behind the scenes work to do. I kept up on ministries at church as well as blog posts and social media for the blog.
♦ Health: This has probably been my biggest accomplishment right here! As a housewife who loves being home as much as possible and my ministry work is all done sitting at the computer, I don't get a lot of steps in. Sometimes the end of the day comes and I am embarrassed by the small number of steps I've taken. I want to work on my health -not weight loss because that can be overwhelming, I just want to be healthy no matter what the scale says or what my jeans size is. In June I decided to challenge myself to meet my step goal of 9,000 steps every day. I didn't make it. I didn't get 9,000 steps every day, but I did most days! Saturdays and Sundays I missed every time, but Mondays through Fridays, I hit it every time! I decided to challenge myself to do it again in July and the same thing happened, I didn't hit 9,000 steps on the weekends, but I did on the weekdays. For me, that is huge! If you've been following along with me on Instagram, each morning I share a story with my Fitbit showing my steps for a morning walk. I don't do this because it is a huge number or my tiny one mile to one and a half mile walk is huge (mercy, I see people sharing five mile runs, RUNS!). I share it because for me, it is big and I pray that someone, even if it is just one person, sees that story and thinks if she can do it so can I.
♦ Piano: For the time being, I have decided to lay this goal down.

Okay, there was July! Now let's move on to see what August holds.

Working through August Powersheets Goal Planner! #Powersheets #Goals #Goalplanning #CultivateWhatMatters

August goals:

♦ Faith: Each day I I will have my morning quiet time in the morning which includes reading my Bible, doing my Write the Word journal, and praying. I plan to get back to my nighttime devotional as well. It is a 365 day devotional and I am just going to jump to the current day and get to it!
♦ Marriage: My husband and I are going continue our once a week mid-week dinner date and our Friday nights at the lake. This month is our 24th wedding anniversary. We have already exchanged gifts but we will have a special dinner later this month.
♦ Family: We have a family getaway planned and we are so excited! It will be my husband and I, all of our kids, and the grandbaby! And I really need to work on our family photo books.
♦ Home: I am planning to clean the carpets, I try to do this once a month but didn't get it done in July so it really needs it! I am also hoping to organize closets this month, one closet at a time.
♦ Ministry: I have some big work coming up this month for my special project, and I get to share it with you later this month! I also have to work on ministry schedules for church.
♦ Health: I am going to continue taking a walk each morning. As much as I hate mornings -and sweating- I have actually come to really enjoy this time. I spend the thirty or so minutes in prayer and enjoying nature. In July, I walked Monday through Saturday so I want to keep up with walking six days a week. And because I hit my step goal of 9,000 steps every weekday, I am thinking of upping my goal to 10,000! Hmm, should I?

WRITE THE WORD, PSALM

If you've been around here awhile, you know how much I love Write the Word journals. These beautiful journals are a daily part of my quiet time. I have also given journals to my adult daughters and gifted them to others, that is how much I love them!

There is something powerful about writing something down in your own messy handwriting. It is like you are etching it into your heart and mind. Many people, me included, learn better when they write something out instead of just reading it. That is what Write the Word journals do. They help you write out God's Word as you etch it into your heart and mind.

Write the Word journal, Psalm collection. #writetheword #writethewordjournal #cultivatewhatmatters #prayer #Bible

Cultivate What Matters just launched new Write the Word journals in a brand new collection: Psalm! The Psalm collection is broken down into five different journals. Psalm chapters 1-41, chapters 42-82, chapters 83-118, chapter 119, and chapters 120-150

Each journal has beautiful gold foil detail on the cover. The covers of the Psalm collection are slightly different from the regular Write the Word journals, while the cover is very strong and thick, it is not the board covered in vegan leather. Inside is a two page spread for each day that includes a place to put the date, something you are thankful for, a preselected verse from the chapters in Psalm, space to write out the verse, a space to write out thoughts or a prayer, and finally a space to write a word or thought for the day. At the back you will also find four Scripture cards to punch out. These are perfect for keeping in your wallet or on a mirror so that you will see them often!

You can order each journal on its own, or my favorite way is to order the bundle of all five! When you order the bundle, you save $31 and qualify for free shipping! The bundle is definitely worth it! Please keep in mind this is a presale and journals will ship in mid-July.

Another difference with the Psalm collection and regular Write the Word journals is there isn't a ribbon page marker. But that's ok! Cultivate What Matters has beautiful magnetic page markers that match perfectly! You can also get the faith sticker pack to add pops of color to your journal pages.

I love using Write the Word journals and I know you will too!
