A job lost only for the very next day God to place a better one in the unemployed's hands.
Down to twenty dollars for a week's worth of gas and groceries. Something {or Someone, amen} told her to check her unemployment card from three years ago only to find three unemployment payments on it.

Review and giveaway:
We have all likely heard of the writings of Charles Dickens and Jane Austen. I said heard of, because I know of them but had never read much by them. Recently I was asked to review two new devotionals that are writings from Dickens and Austen.
I love things from the 1800s. I am fascinated by that era. I jokingly tell my husband that God put me in the wrong century. {smiles} But he reminds me that with the weak stomach I have I probably couldn't handle some of the cooking methods of then, if you get my drift. (As in chicken didn't come from the store, gulp!!) So when asked to review these devotionals and actually be able to read some of Dickens and Austen, I was thrilled.
The devotions are short for those of us with little time, but they are powerful. The devotions start out with excerpts from Dickens and Austen's famous writings and end with scripture and Bible truths. I love that you can turn to these short yet timeless truths anytime.
It comes in a beautiful hard back with a ribbon book marker, something this book/old time loving girl truly enjoyed.
Today I am giving away to two winners a copy of both A Charles Dickens Devotional and A Jane Austen Devotional. All you have to do comment on today's post. For an extra entry, share the giveaway on Facebook, then come back and leave a separate comment telling me you shared. The winner will be announced tomorrow.
