This Day

This is the day the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24

This is the day the Lord has made
let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24

Have you thanked God for today yet? Have you opened your eyes to this gift He gave you? Thank Him. Praise Him. Be glad in Him.

Psalm 98

Photo Credit

Sing to the Lord a new song,
for He has done marvelous things;
His right hand and his holy arm
    have worked salvation for Him.
The Lord has made His salvation known
and revealed his righteousness to the nations.

He has remembered His love
    and His faithfulness to Israel;
all the ends of the earth have seen
    the salvation of our God.
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth,
burst into jubilant song with music;
make music to the Lord with the harp,
    with the harp and the sound of singing,

with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn—
    shout for joy before the Lord, the King.

Let the sea resound, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it.
Let the rivers clap their hands,
let the mountains sing together for joy;
let them sing before the Lord,
for He comes to judge the earth.
He will judge the world in righteousness
and the peoples with equity.

His Artistry

The Heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. That verse is on my heart each morning as I wake up and open my curtain. I see the beautiful sky, the sunshine, birds soaring in the air, it all remind me that He is The Great Artist.

I love clouds. I could look at clouds all day long and never get bored. They make me think of Heaven. They remind me of my Father.

Flowers, butterflies, trees, water, everything around us proclaims the glory of God. All of it shows us how He lovingly placed created everything and placed it just so.

Today, take some time out. Go outside and just look around you. Look at all He created. Close your eyes, take a breath, and praise Him for who He is and all He has created.

Do you regularly take time out to enjoy nature and praise God for it?

Search My Heart {giveaway}

Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
Point out anything in me that offends you,
and lead me along the path of everlasting life.
Psalm 139:23-24 NLT

This is a dangerous prayer.  Do we really want God to search our heart and show us what we are doing that is wrong?  Are we ready to change when He does?  Yes, this is a dangerous prayer.  Yet, if we desire a life with our Father, it is a necessary prayer.  Are you ready to pray for this?

Review and giveaway:

With movies and television being what they are today, it is hard to find clean, wholesome, family movies.  I love when we find movies that are exactly what our family needs.

Ring the Bell is a story about a big time sports agent used to a fast paced world and used to getting his way.  Now he finds himself stranded in a small town and faced with issues of faith.  This story includes Christian artists Casting Crowns, Steven Curtis Chapman and Matthew West.  Will this city clicker ring the bell?

This Is Our Time tender story full of grief and hope.  As we graduate high school we have plans, dreams and ideas for our future.  We think we know what our life will look like.  Those plans often change.  Life happens.  But this story unfolds, it teaches us that God always has a plan.

Hey God, I've Got Some Guy Name Jonah In My Belly is the story of Jonah and the whale.  Only this fun children's book gives a twist; is the story from the whale's point of view!  My son and I loved laying in bed reading this book and I know you and your children will as well.

The winner will recieve both DVDs and the children's book.  The winner will be contacted via email on Saturday.

*I received these products free of charge in exchange for my honest opinion.

We Are His

Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.
  Worship the LORD with gladness;
   come before Him with joyful songs.
Know that the LORD is God.
   It is He who made us, and we are His;
   we are His people, the sheep of His pasture.

 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
   and His courts with praise;
   give thanks to Him and praise His name.
For the LORD is good and His love endures forever;
His faithfulness continues through all generations.

Psalm 100
