Thanksgiving List

I absolutely can not believe it is November 1st.  This year seems to have flown right by.  November is such a busy month in our family.  We have several birthdays and, of course, Thanksgiving.  I love Thanksgiving!  All of the delicious food and a day with the family, it is wonderful.  So, in preparation of Thanksgiving, each Monday in November I am going to post a list of ten things I am thankful for.  By the end of the month I will have mentioned fifty things.  I want to encourage you to comment with your own list of things you are thankful for.

"Give thanks to the Lord, call on His name, make known among the nations what He has done." I Chronicles 16:8

1) I am thankful for my salvation.  I deserve to be crucified for my sins, but I do not have to be because Christ took that punishment Himself just so I could be saved.

2) I am thankful that I have a wonderful, loving, supportive and Godly husband.

3) I am thankful for my four children.  They are my wonderful blessings from Heaven.

4) I am thankful that I grew up in a home with both a mom and dad who were saved.

5) I am thankful that I had four grandparents who loved and cared for me and who I could trust and count on.

6) I am thankful for my siblings (and their spouses). We may not have always gotten along perfectly, but we are friends and I love them dearly.

7) I am thankful for my church family.  I have a wonderful church family and I enjoy worshipping and fellowshipping with them.

8) I am thankful for the Word of God.  This is my instruction manual for my marriage, raising my children, for my life.

9) I am thankful for Christian radio.  It is nice to be able to turn the radio on and be encouraged.

10) I am thankful for my sweet sisters.  God has blessed me with Christian women that I can turn to for prayer, encouragement and laughter.

Well, there are the first ten things I am thankful for.  I look forward to sharing more with you next Monday!  Have a sweetly blessed day.
