You Are More

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old is gone, the new has come!"  II Corinthians 5:17

When my husband and I were first married I made a meatloaf for the very first time.  Both of my sisters happened to come over for dinner.  Well, the meatloaf burned.  Burned bad.  I did not make a meatloaf again for a long while.  But when I did I was more careful and it came out wonderful.  Now it is one of my kids favorite dishes.  However, my dear sisters will still not eat my meatloaf.  Me and my meatloaf are defined by that past mistake.

We all make mistakes.  Sometimes those are big life mistakes and sometimes they are little.  But they are all mistakes nonetheless.  So many times we are defined my our mistakes.  But we don't have to be.  In Christ we are made new.  The old is passed and we are new!  Hallelujah we are new!  We do not have to be defined by what we did wrong ten years ago or ten days ago.  Drop your burdens and guilt off at the cross and leave it there.  You are so much more than your sin.  You are a new and beautiful creation!

  3. I feel new today. I'm so thankful that my Father loves me enough to bring correction to my life. Because of that, I am not the same person today that I was yesterday. I am new!
