A Troubled Heart

"Don't let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me."  John 14:1

Yesterday I was feeling 'troubled.'  My sweet little girl had to go to the dentist for a root canal.  I have personally never had one, but have heard many, many horror stories about them.  I was afraid for her.  Afraid of the pain she would be in during the procedure and after.  I was afraid of the 'look' of being without full, real tooth (the world can be cruel).

I spent many hours praying for her and peace for me.  My sweet sisters prayed for my daughter and comforted me.

We get to the dentist and she isn't nervous.  She doesn't cry or even flinch.  She hardly even tensed at the very first pinch of the first needle.  The dentist said she did better than most of the adult patients he has.

Why did she do so good?  Because God heard our troubled hearts.  He heard our cries.  We put our trust in Him and He answered.  He cares about us.

When we left the office, my daughter said, "God answered our prayers, it wasn't too bad!"

Friends, God cares about us.  As my sweet sister reminded me, God cares about our situation and hurt more than we do.  He loves us.  All we have to do is put our trust in Him.  When your heart is feeling troubled, turn to a Great God.

Sweet Blessings~

  9. He cares for the sparrows, so how much more does He care for us? It's awesome when we experience this care in such a tangible way.
