Brag On God Friday

Happy Friday friends!  When I was a teenager I went to a youth conference and  the speaker asked us each to 'brag on God.'  He explained that bragging on God is simply giving a testimony of His goodness.  Maybe it was something He had done for us or just a sweet time of being in His presence.  I have always loved that term, bragging on God.

My mom and daughters watching
the sunrise in Myrtle Beach one morning.
Today when I was trying to think of something I could brag on God about, this video I recently saw on Facebook came to mind.  It is a video of a sunrise on the ocean in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  Myrtle Beach is our family's favorite spot in the world.  (smiles)  We go there for vacation each year and will be headed there very soon.  I have seen the sunrise in person on the ocean at Myrtle Beach.

Watching a sunrise anywhere in the world shows of God's great splendor.  But there is something so incredible, so breathtaking about watching it over the ocean.  It's like you stand there in complete awe of God's glory.  How can someone watch the sunrise and question there is a God?

"The Heavens declare the glory of God.  The skies proclaim the work of His hands."  Psalm 19:1

If you have a moment, watch this video of the sunrise.  Then I want to encourage you to find time to watch a sunrise in person, it doesn't have to be over the ocean.  Just watch the sun come up and praise God.

Sweet Blessings~

  4. One of the things I used to love when my babies were... well... babies was that they would usually want a bottle at 4 am. I'd get up, feed them, and watch the sun come up. It was an awesome experience. I do miss those days. I love looking at the sky and thinking of God. :) Great Brag :)

  5. I love to brag on God, he is SO good to me!!!
Just seeing one thing in Nature is proof of a God who is the Creator of everything. I don't get people who can't see that.

  6. A sunset is pretty amazing too! The sunset at Punta Fuego, Batangas, Philippines is fantastic. Once a friend of ours bringing some pastoral leaders of our community to see it, said, "A sailboat will pass by as the sun sets." And what amazed him and the leaders was that a sailboat DID pass by as the sun set!!! Patsy from
