Seven Days A Week

Getting together with other believers is important.  We need to fellowship with like minded people who can encourage us and pray for/with us.  We also need to worship with other believers.  I absolutely love to stand back and watch people worship.  Watching others worship excites me and makes me want to worship even more!

Corporate worship is wonderful.  However, corporate worship should never be what we live for.  Have you ever said or heard said, "if I can just make it to church on Sunday to refuel, I will be okay"?  We shouldn't live for Sunday's church service.  Yes it is wonderful, yes it is necessary, but worship is more than that.

Corporate worship should be an outpouring of our personal worship.

The Word tells us in Psalm 100:4, "Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise."  We should go to church praising and thanking Him.  It doesn't tell us to survive till church and leave praising.  It says enter with thanksgiving and praise.

Worship is a daily, even hourly thing, not just a Sunday thing.  If you are spending time in His presence and worshipping each and every day, then you will feel a positive difference in corporate worship at church.  I can honestly feel a difference in my attitude and my worship on Sunday when I have spent time in personal worship during the week.  If I miss my personal worship time, I don't feel as prepared to worship.

Friends, I don't know about you, but I don't want to survive till Sunday.  I want to worship God each and every day.  Sunday is one-seventh of the week.  Worship is for seven days.  Spend time in personal worship today.  Sing praises, read the Word, sit in His presence, talk to Him, just worship our King.

Sweet Blessings~

  1. His word does say that the 1st and greatest commandment is to "Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, soul, and mind."
Great post, and I agree. Why do we have to only wait for Sunday to worship. Why not do it every single day?

I need to show this post to some people I know. :)

  3. I agree we should never wait just for Sunday to refuel.. I have to say I refuel at home during the week my hubby will pray for me and I will pray. But I always look forward to being in the house of the Lord, there is something about coming together as a body like the Lord says.

  4. I don't want to just survive, I want to thrive. God is holy all the time, and always worthy of our worship. Great encouragement!

  5. Amen Jenifer. Being a "Sunday Christian" doesn't bring God into our lives in the way that God intends. We need to spend time in His Presence each day to keep our relationship strong.

    Great post!

    Have a Blessed Day!

  7. We can never expect to be filled with Him and all He has for us if we don't partake of what He offers to us during the week!

  8. I agree. We need to worship Him everyday. When I go from Sunday to Sunday, and don't spend the time I need daily with Him, it's hard for me to keep going. Great post!

    Glad I found your blog!
    Blessings in HIM...Chelle

  9. You're so right, Jenifer! Praise and worship should be a part of our lives daily. It strengthens us and is music to His ears.

  10. 1/7th of the week. How could I ever fit all my praise to my Heavenly Father into 1/7th of the week? I NEED those other six day -- and even then there is more praise, more worship, I have to offer. Thanks for giving a good perspective on worship.
