Unconditional Trust

Today I am posting a Marriage Monday over at Woman to Woman Ministries.  Join us!

God has really been dealing with me lately about trusting Him.  I blame it on my sweet sister, Lisa.  (smiles)  She blogged last week about trusting God period.  Though I can't really blame her.  God had been dealing with me on this for awhile, but I didn't quite "get it" or let myself get it until reading her blog.  I encourage you to go over and be blessed.

I have always said that I trust God.  How could I not trust God?  But the truth was, I was putting limitations on my trust.  "God I trust You if You do it my way."  I should be saying, "God I trust You because You are God.  No matter how things turn out, I still trust You."

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your path straight."  Proverbs 3:5-6

Are you fully placing your trust in Him?  God sees all, we see in the moment.  He knows are needs far better than we do.  We need to learn to trust God, just because He is God.

Sweet Blessings~

Today I am also posting over at Faithful Bloggers

  1. God is also dealing with me about trust. I want to trust Him period not just for what He does for me. Great post.

P.s. The link to faithful bloggers isn't working for me :/

  3. You are absolutely right, Jenifer. I am 53 years old and have been basically living for Him all of my life, but I am still learning to turn everything over to Him and let Him determine the outcome. But, I really learned to trust Him when HUGE problems occurred in my life and I had nowhere to turn for answers, except for Jesus. He allowed painful circumstances to come my way, but He was always there to comfort me and carry me when it was just too much for me. He has never failed me.
The verse you cited is my life verse, I live by that, daily.
    Love and hugs, Cindy

  4. Trust is a difficult issue! I'm constantly learning that I don't trust enough, but He is so trustworthy! He left me the promise that He will never leave me or forsake me! Oh to trust Him more and more! Thanks for the reminder!

  5. Jenifer, today God was speaking to me about surrender and I realized that I don't always surrender to Him because I don't completely trust Him. Ouch! There's still much work to be done, but we are getting there. :)

  9. Jenifer, that post Lisa wrote spoke to me too. Our trust in HIM can't be conditional. That's not true faith. Good or bad, living in plenty or in want we need to commit to trusting Him

  10. I'm right there with you Jenifer... The post Lisa wrote was quite convicting. It's difficult inside our limited shells to find that "complete trust" that our Heavenly Father deserves, but the more we open ourselves to trusting Him in all things, the easier it becomes.

    Great post!

    Have a Blessed Day Jenifer!
