What's At The Heart Of Your Worship 2

"Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship." Romans 12:1

Yesterday we talked about true worship.  As I went through the day this topic was on my heart.  Each of your comments touched me.  One of our friends, Stephen, pointed out that in the Bible they didn't need music, they simply fell to the ground saying how worthy the Lord is.  Worship is not standing in a church with a band singing.  It is a way of life.  It is your heart.  It is simply surrendering all to Him.

Today I encourage you, I challenge you, spend time in pure worship.  With no one around.  Just you and God.  No music, no holding back, no worshiping like another.  Simply fall to the ground, let the Spirit move in you in His own way and tell the Lord how wonderful and worthy He is.  Purely, openly, worship Him.

"Exalt the LORD our God and worship at His footstool; He is holy." Psalm 99:5

Sweet Blessings~

  1. So thankful we can worship any time and all the time!

  2. That is what worship is all about. When no one is around and tears fall from your eyes because you realize God's grace and inspite of what's going on, we STILL give God all the praise! I am visiting from the Blog Bash and hope we can connect!

  4. Worship is not about the music, the song, or the place. It's simply all about God.

  5. Oh great encouragement. I pray I'm living a life of worship not just on Sundays. I love what Lisa said. It's not about the music the time or the place it's just about God.

  6. Funny how God keeps giving the same idea to you over and over again. This is probably the third or fourth time this concept has been put in front of me in the past week.
