Proverbs tells us to trust in the Lord with all of our heart {Proverbs 3:3-6}.  It is easy to trust God when things are good.  It is easy to trust when things are going our way and we can see the outcome.

But to trust when we cannot see what is ahead?

Not so easy.  We have the desire to know what the future holds and to control it.  But the truth is, we are like a horse with blinders on.  We simply can't see everything.  God can.  He sees the big picture.  He knows all.  How do we trust?

We can trust by placing our lives fully in His very capable hands.  Just like with our children, they may not understand why the have to do school, but as adults we know the benefit it is for them.  Or they may not understand why they can't go to the house of the kid down the street with the abusive parents, but we know it is not safe for them.  We are His children, we don't see it, He does.

Are you ready to place everything in His hands?  Are you ready to trust Him without restrictions?

  2. That same reference from Proverbs popped into my mind while I was thinking about trust today, too! And yes, that trusting Him with EVERYTHING is so challenging sometimes, isn't it?

  5. So challenging! God has been teaching me a lot about trusting when I can't exactly see why. Beautifully written friend! Stopping by from Laura's blog :)

  6. It's much easier to trust when everything is well. Trusting when things seem out of control is a different issue. I want to say that I trust God completely, and no matter what.

  7. Jenifer,

You have no idea how much I needed to read these words, I am on journey and I have no idea where it is leading or where it will end. It is so much easier to trust and have faith when everything is going our way, when we can see what is up ahead but trusting Him when we are walking with blinders on is another matter entirely it stretches our faith and grows our trust but it certainly isn't always easy.

    Blessings to you Jenifer.

  8. Such an overwhelming thing to do, but at the end of the day --no--at the beginning of the day, we should recommit the new day to Christ!

I pray that I can follow through...
