"Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I am full of joy over you;
but I want you to be wise about what is good and innocent of what is evil.  The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet."
Roman 16:19-20

"Whatsoever things are true
Whatsoever things are noble
Whatsoever things are right
Whatsoever things are pure
Whatsoever things are lovely
Whatsoever things are admirable
If anything is excellent or praiseworthy
Think on these things."
Philippians 4:8

Romans tells us to be wise about what is good and innocent of evil.  Philippians tells us to think on things that are good.  This world is so full of evil, so how can we be wise and think on what is good?  As a pastor friend of mine always says, "Stay in the Word!"  Keep your eyes fixed on God.  Keep your attention in His Word.  Think about Him.  Worship Him.

What are you thinking on today?  Is it wise, true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable and praiseworthy?

  3. This is so cool! My devotional today was from the end of Mark where Jesus rebuked the disciples for their lack of faith when the women came to testify of the resurrection. They hadn't believed GOD'S WORD. And then I come here and see your post about focusing on God's Word. I love it! God's Word is our anchor and solid foundation. You have a wise friend. Thanks for sharing. :-)

  4. Staying in the Word will always let us know the difference. There is no other Book like the Bible, it teaches us what we need to know. Thanks for a great post.

    Blessings to you always!!
