What's On Your Mind?

What did you wake up thinking about this morning?  Your busy day?  Errands you have to run?  Bills you have to pay?  Bills you can't pay?  The argument you had with your spouse last night?  The clothes you forgot to put into the dryer?  The doctor appointment you are not looking forward to?  The health issues of a loved one?

We all live busy lives.  There is so much that consumes our thoughts.  What does God say about it?

"Since then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.  Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things."  Colossians 3:1-2

God tells us to set our minds on Him, on Heaven.  Are you focusing on those things we talked about earlier?  Earthly things?  Or are you Heaven-minded?  Yes, I have problems.  Yes, I have busyness.  But I want to be Heaven-minded.

Where are you putting your thoughts at today?

Sweet Blessings~

  3. Oh, I am here visiting from the titustuesday and just wanted to say, this post is a wonderful reminder! We all seem to get caught up in the day to day things in our life and forget to turn our eyes upon Jesus! Thank you for the reminder today.

  4. Great verse and reminder... I'm hung up on earthly disappointments lately... it's easy to forget that HE provides all things even the things that aren't what I hoped for. On my mind this morning was a simple prayer... God increase my faith. Thank you Jenifer!

  5. The first thought I had was "what day is it?" Once I got that one settled, it went straight to what I was fixing who for breakfast. Who needed to wear what? Where are tennis shoes?
Only when I got in the shower did I take a moment to thank God for today...I really need to do that first off!
