Enter His gates with thanksgiving
and His courts with praise.
Give thanks to Him and bless His name.

Pause for a moment and think about how normally begin in prayer. Often we jump in bringing our requests to God. We do need to bring our requests to God, we need to pray for our own needs and the needs of others. God wants this. While our requests matter and should be brought before God, we need to enter into prayer with thanksgiving. We need to go to Him in praise.

When you pray, pause and start with worshiping God and giving thanks to Him. The ACTS method is a wonderful model for praying with adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication (needs). What is something you are thanking God for today?
