That Was Not In My Plans!

Have you ever made plans just to have them changed?  It may have been something small like you plan a night out with friends and something comes up. Or for some, it is life altering.  You go to work one morning and everything is fine. But then suddenly life completely changes.

We can't understand.  We hurt, physically and emotionally.  We don't know how to move on.

This was not a surprise to God.  You didn't see it coming.  God did.  God knew the very moment it would happen.  Why did He let it happen?  God has a plan for each and every one of us.  We may not know His plan and we may not understand His ways.  But we can trust that He has a plan.

"'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans for hope and a future.'"  Jeremiah 29:11

His plans are to prosper us, never to harm us.  While we can't see what lies ahead.  While we can't understand how life can ever be the same.  We can trust in God.

What are you facing today?  Rest assured that God is in control.  He knows what He is doing.

Sweet Blessings~

  2. The truth is that many times life just doesn't make sense - to us. But God always knows what He is doing and He is always in control. We don't have to understand, we just have to trust. Great encouragement!

  7. Jenifer,

Knowing this about God has gotten me through some pretty tough situations, knowing He is control, He has a plan and He knows what He is doing, that is where our hope is when our world looks like it falling apart, God knows what He is doing.

    Blessings to you Jenifer.

  8. Wonderful encouragement Jenifer, and something that when our life seems to have turned upside down, can be difficult to remember. God knows what's happening, and never loses control, even when we have.

    Have a Blessed Day!
