Light Vs Dark

This is the message we have heard from Him and declare
to you: God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all.
If we claim to have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the
darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in
the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one
another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all
sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the
truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and
just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all
unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we
make Him out to be a liar and His word is not in us.
1 John 1:5-10

We say we are living in God, yet we continually watch television shows and movies that don't honor Him. We listen to music that doesn't glorify His name. We say things that break His heart. And we treat others in hurtful ways.

We are deceiving ourselves.

The Word tells us that there is no way to walk in light and darkness at the same time. God is light and in Him there is no darkness. We have to make a choice. What do you choose?

His Word also tells us that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us and cleanse us.

It's time to throw off the darkness and live fully for God. It's time to live in the Light.

What a difference it would make if we lived like this!

    1. Very true, there would be a world of difference if we all lived like this. Sadly we can't make everyone choose to, but we can start with us! Thanks for stopping by Laurie!

  2. I love I John....one of my most favorite books in the Bible...It is pretty straight forward and in your face...I sooo agree! I think we live in a world that waters down the truth of the Word. so easy to make excuses!! The Word is truth and if we believe it... we are to live by it! Thanks for the "in my face" post! Appreciate it! Blessings!

Thanks bunches for splashing me today. I so enjoy when you link up with momma notes. Each Monday (thanks for the patience as we added 2 new princesses to our home) I start the chorus. Drop by any day of the week to add your notes. Just moms. Sharing our notes. Creating a melody.

    Happy day,
