Devote yourselves to prayer with an
alert mind and a thankful heart.

Prayer isn't something we should do absentmindedly or casually. It is something we should do alert, focused, and intentionally. Prayer is also something that we should approach with a thankful heart. Praising God for His goodness and mercy, giving thanks for all He has done and all He will one day do. Let's be people who approach prayer alert and thankful.

3505. My husband and I will celebrate 26 years of marriage this week. I am so in love with this man and thank God every day for him.

3508. Gorgeous weather last week! It was such a nice break from the extreme heat. 

3509. Watching my house plants grow. It took a long time for me to develop a "green thumb."
