A joyful heart is good medicine,
but a broken spirit dries up the bones.
Proverbs 17:22 CSB
Have you ever been around someone who was always sad or grumbling and complaining? Someone who never seemed happy? I am sure we all have. The Bible tells us in Proverbs that a broken spirit dries up the bones. It is not good for us live this way. Not only is it not good for us, but it isn't good for those around us either.
As a Christian, we are not guaranteed that life will always be rainbows and roses. Hard times will come. It's a given. But when we walk with Christ, we can still walk in joy even through the hard times because our joy isn't circumstantial, it's comes from salvation in God. One way we find joy is to walk in gratitude. When we walk in gratitude, continually giving praise and thanks to God, it is hard to have a broken spirit!
Let's praise God today. What is something you are thanking God for today?
Continuing to count God's sweet blessings...
3610. Finally feeling completely well after a month of sickness -flu, food poisoning, and who knows whatever else we passed around.
3611. God providing when my husband's work was slow due to winter weather.
3612. Finally seeing the sun after almost a month of freezing and dreary weather.
3613. My oldest two grandsons loving on their baby cousin.
