HELP THEM HAVE A MEANINGFUL EASTER

Easter is just a couple weeks away. Everywhere our children look they see chocolate bunnies, yellow chicks, eggs, candy, and all the glitz that draws their attention. We need to help our children understand what Easter is truly about. We need to make Easter meaningful.

Help them have a meaningful Easter #easter #resurrection

Here are a few ways you can make Easter meaningful for your family this year.

Read books that share the true meaning of Easter and Jesus. A few books we love are Twas the Season of Lent, Berenstain Bears and the Easter Story, The Easter Story, and I Am. And of course, read the story of the crucifixion and resurrection from the Bible.

Resurrection Eggs. This dozen of eggs is a fun, interactive way to go through the true meaning of Easter. Each egg has a token to symbolize something of Easter inside, such as a donkey like Jesus rode on or coins to represent when Judas sold Jesus for thirty pieces of silver. The eggs come with a teaching booklet to help guide you along.

Resurrection Garden. A resurrection garden is a wonderful way to teach about Jesus and incorporate nature. My friend Sarah Geringer gives a step by step guide to creating a resurrection garden HERE.

Choose their Easter basket treats wisely. It can be easy to stuff their baskets full of candy and toys. Instead, fill their basket with a new children's Bible, Write the Word Journals for Kids, crayons or colored pencils, stickers, one sweet treat (one treat is okay, fun even), and a small stuffed animal (perfect for a Bible reading buddy). If you have teens, you can still create a meaningful basket, just use a new Bible, Write the Word Journal, faith stickers, cute pen, and a sweet treat. I share more about a meaningful Easter basket and have a giveaway HERE.

Wear Holy Pals PJs. Holy Pals PJs are pajamas with meaning. Each pair of pajamas is not only soft and made with incredible and lasting quality, but the also have cute pictures of the true meaning of Easter and have a Scripture reference of the Easter story sewn on the sleeve. Each night as your child gets ready for bed, you can read the Scripture reference on the pajamas and discuss what Easter means. And as they wake up on Easter morning, you have a beautiful reminder right there of what the day is all about. Our family loves Holy Pals PJs because they super cozy but more importantly, they are a wonderful reminder of the Word of God. You can shop Holy Pals PJS HERE. Use code JENIFER10 for 10% off.

Let's make this year the year we help our kids grow in Jesus and learn the truth of what Easter means.

WRITE THE WORD

Studies show that when you write something in your own handwriting your brain is able to process the information better and you increase the chances of the information being stored for later. So applying this train of thought to the Bible, when we write out Scripture in our own handwriting, we are helping our brain to process and store what we read and write.

Write the Word #cultivatewhatmatters #writetheword #writethewordjournal #Bible

Cultivate What Matters helps us use this theory to write out Scripture with their beautiful Write the Word journals. I've personally been using Write the Word journals for several years now and absolutely love them! The journals make a beautiful addition to my morning quiet time. They also make a wonderful tool to throw in your purse and work through on your lunch break, while waiting at the doctor's office, or while sitting at the park with your kids.

Write the Word #cultivatewhatmatters #writetheword #writethewordjournal #Bible

Write the Word journals are hard bound with vegan leather covering, a ribbon bookmark, beautiful gold foil detail, 70 preselected Scripture based on the journal theme, 4 Scripture art pages with journal prompts, and undated so you can start whenever. Each journal page has a place to write the date, a place to record something you are thankful for, a Scripture reference and space to write the Scripture out, a place to journal thoughts or a prayer, and a space to write out a word or thought to focus on for the day.

WRITE THE WORD, PSALM

If you've been around here awhile, you know how much I love Write the Word journals. These beautiful journals are a daily part of my quiet time. I have also given journals to my adult daughters and gifted them to others, that is how much I love them!

There is something powerful about writing something down in your own messy handwriting. It is like you are etching it into your heart and mind. Many people, me included, learn better when they write something out instead of just reading it. That is what Write the Word journals do. They help you write out God's Word as you etch it into your heart and mind.

Write the Word journal, Psalm collection. #writetheword #writethewordjournal #cultivatewhatmatters #prayer #Bible

Cultivate What Matters just launched new Write the Word journals in a brand new collection: Psalm! The Psalm collection is broken down into five different journals. Psalm chapters 1-41, chapters 42-82, chapters 83-118, chapter 119, and chapters 120-150

Each journal has beautiful gold foil detail on the cover. The covers of the Psalm collection are slightly different from the regular Write the Word journals, while the cover is very strong and thick, it is not the board covered in vegan leather. Inside is a two page spread for each day that includes a place to put the date, something you are thankful for, a preselected verse from the chapters in Psalm, space to write out the verse, a space to write out thoughts or a prayer, and finally a space to write a word or thought for the day. At the back you will also find four Scripture cards to punch out. These are perfect for keeping in your wallet or on a mirror so that you will see them often!

You can order each journal on its own, or my favorite way is to order the bundle of all five! When you order the bundle, you save $31 and qualify for free shipping! The bundle is definitely worth it! Please keep in mind this is a presale and journals will ship in mid-July.

Another difference with the Psalm collection and regular Write the Word journals is there isn't a ribbon page marker. But that's ok! Cultivate What Matters has beautiful magnetic page markers that match perfectly! You can also get the faith sticker pack to add pops of color to your journal pages.

I love using Write the Word journals and I know you will too!

WRITE THE WORD

I have been using Write the Word journals from Cultivate What Matters for a few years now. I can honestly say these journals have transformed my quiet time. As a busy wife, mom, and minister, I found myself rushing through my quiet time. Reading just to get it done because I knew I needed to read the Bible. But Write the Word journals have helped me to slow down and linger in the Word as I get Scripture into my heart.

My Write the Word process is simple, but has helped me grow in God. I begin by writing the date at the top and then something I am thankful for. Then I open my Bible to the Scripture prompt. Before reading or writing, I say a brief prayer asking God to speak to me. Next, I read the Scripture prompt and then I write out the verses. On the following page is space to write something "on my heart." I use this space to write something I learned as I read and then a brief prayer. Finally, I write a word to focus on for the day.

I thought I would share three things that I love about Write the Word journals. First, I love that they can be done anywhere, any time. Waiting in a doctor's office, waiting in the car pick up line at school, on lunch break at your desk, sitting on the porch swing, laying in bed, you really can do Write the Word journals anywhere, any time. The second thing I love is how a sturdy they are. These journals are hardback covered with a soft vegan leather. They are strong to hold up to whatever comes your way. Toss it in your purse or diaper bag, no worries! Spill coffee on the cover, wipes right off. Tears streaming down your face as you write, it won't bleed through. And the third thing I love is the legacy they leave. Because the journals are made so well, they will last for many, many years to come. Our children, grandchildren, and maybe even our great-grandchildren will one day read our Write the Word journals and see that we were women who read, studied, and wrote God's Word. What a beautiful legacy to leave!

Cultivate What Matters is launching three brand new Write the Word journals today! Write the Word Cultivate Wisdom, Write the Word Refresh Your Mind, and Write the Word for Kids Adventure are adding to the Write the Word Collection along with a brand new faith sticker pack.

I am so excited to use the Wisdom and Renew Your Mind journals! And the stickers are such a beautiful touch of color and fun to each journal entry.

If you are looking to refresh your faith, Write the Word journals are incredible tools to help you do just that. The journals also make beautiful gifts. My favorite deal is the Your Favorites Bundle! Get the new sticker packet, Wisdom, Renew Your Mind, and pick a third journal of your choice. This is a great way to save money and add a few journals to your shelf.

WRITE THE WORD WEDNESDAY

My word for 2021 is rooted, I want to become deeply rooted in Jesus. To me, this means cultivating a more passionate and consistent prayer life, reading the Bible more, studying the Bible, striving to obey God, and exercising my faith in Him. One of tools I am using is a Write the Word journal from Cultivate What Matters.

I have been using Write the Word journals off and on for a couple of years now. In the past ten or so months I have been using my journals daily. Write the Word journals help me to do more than just read the Bible; they help me to slow down and linger. I read the given Scripture, then write in out in my own messy handwriting, think about it, and finally I pray over it. This practice has blessed me and transformed my quiet time.

With my 2021 word being rooted, I started 2021 using Write the Word Cultivate Faith: Grow Roots in the Word. I am loving this journal! To me, there is something so special and refreshing with starting the Bible from the beginning on January 1st. Going through the Woman to Woman Bible reading plan, that is what we are doing. Cultivate Faith takes it even further. It starts in Genesis and goes through the basics, getting back to the roots of faith. It helps me to not only read the Bible, but write it out. This practice helps me to really think about what I am reading and get it into my heart.

Today's Write the Word Scripture was Genesis 17:7. This verse was God confirming His promise to Abraham that He would be Abraham's God and his descendant's God. As I read and wrote this verse out, I thought of how God always keeps His promises. We can trust Him because He never lies and never backs down from His promises. I am so thankful for that!

Do you need a special Write the Word journal to write out Scripture? Of course not! Grab any journal or notebook! For me, I love having something that is "special." Write the Word journals are hardback covered with a soft vegan leather and super thick paper. They are strong and sturdy to hold up to whatever life throws my way. The thick pages save it from bleed through with pen, markers, highlighters, and even tears! And my favorite part, because they are so well made, they will last for many, many years to come, which means I am leaving a legacy for my kids and grandkids to one day read through.

Write the Word journals come in Cultivate Faith, Cultivate Contentment, Cultivate Forgiveness, Cultivate Hope, Cultivate Joy, Cultivate Renewal, and a blank journal for you to choose your own theme and Scriptures. To purchase a Write the Word journal, click HERE or the banner below.

Will you join me for Write the Word Wednesday? If you are using a Write the Word journal, which edition? If you are choosing your own verses to write out, what did you write today? Share in the comments and let's cheer each other on!

WRITE THE WORD {GIVEAWAY}

In this very electronic age, I find there is so much power in writing something in your own handwriting. I can put a reminder in my cellphone, but I seem more likely to remember it if I actually take the time to write something down. It feels more committed to memory, sinking down into my heart, as I put pen to paper.

For this reason, I absolutely love Write the Word Journals from Cultivate What Matters! These journals are stunning and they are the perfect tool to help you get into the Word. Write the Word Journals are simple, no fluff, but lead us into a deeper time with God. All you need is your Bible, a pen, and a Write the Word Journal!

Write the Word Journals are wonderful for digging deep, but they are also perfect for the busy woman on the go. The journals are strong and durable which make them perfect to toss into your purse to do on your lunch break at work, waiting at the doctor's office, or waiting on your kid at sports practice.

Each journal has:
•66 selected scriptures throughout 145 pages
•Gold-foiled cover with gold-foil details throughout
•Easy-to-clean vegan leather

They currently offer nine Write the Word Journals:
Write the Word Bible Journal - NEW - this journal is blank so that you can choose your own Scriptures
Write the Word Cultivate Confidence - NEW
Write the Word Cultivate Joy
Write the Word Cultivate Hope
Write the Word Cultivate Faith
Write the Word Cultivate Renewal
Write the Word Cultivate Contentment
Write the Word Cultivate Forgiveness
Write the Word for Kids

Here is how I use a Write the Word Journal

I currently use my CSB Study Bible for WomenWrite the Word Cultivate Confidence, a cute matching pen (I am slightly obsessed with matching things!), and the Cultivate Faith Stickers. I begin by praying, asking God to help my heart and eyes to be open to receive what He has for me through His Word. Then I open the journal and write the date and something I am thankful for, these prompts are in each journal. Then I open my Bible to the given Scripture and read it carefully. After I have read it completely, I write the verse in the given space.

Next, I write down a thought or revelation from that verse. Then I write out a brief prayer, saying it aloud as I write, asking God to help me remember and apply the verse to my day or situation. Then I write my focus for the day. Sometimes it comes from the given verses, sometimes it does not. And finally, I add a sticker or two (or three!) for a cute pop of color.

I have used my Write the Word journals as my "main" quiet time each morning and I have used them as a Spiritual "pick me up" in mid-afternoon. There is no wrong way or time. The goal is to just get into the Bible and write out Scriptures.

Cultivating and growing in my faith and my walk with God is important to me, it should be important to all believers. It is always one of my most important goals. I even put Write the Word as one of my action items in my Powersheets. This helps me to have a visual to see that reminds me to get into the Bible.

If you are looking to start reading the Bible, need to renew your faith, or just want to try something new, give a Write the Word Journal a try. You will love it as you cultivate what really matters.

To celebrate the new Write the Word Journals, we are giving away a Cultivate What Matters 6 Month Powersheets Goal Planner! My Powersheets have become a vital part of my day and helping me grow and cultivate what's important to me. To enter to win, complete each task in the rafflecopter below!
